At a time when fans are ready to build Nayantara a temple of her, the actress has picked a fight on Vishu in Killikaavu Temple in Manicheri, Kerala. Nayantara is currently working on ‘Bodyguard’ in Malayalam, and has been shooting for the film near Ottapalam in Kerala. On Vishu, deliberated as the Malayalam New Year, the actress has paid a visit to the temple. Nayantara was refused entry into the temple as she was wearing a “Salwar Kameez”, as temple authorities said devotees were not allowed if they were wearing Salwars or pants. The actress reportedly shoved them aside and tried to enter the temple, when fans swarmed around her. On understanding the situation, they asked Nayantara to apologise to the temple authorities for disrespecting them. The actress, who was not willing to apologise, called the crew of ‘Bodyguard’. But this attempt turned futile, as Nayantara was finally forced by the crew to apologise to temple authorities. This created a flutter in the temple as there was commotion for over an hour.

This lass, after making her Hindi film debut with Ghajini opposite Aamir Khan, has been in the news for all the right reasons. And now, adding another feather to her hat is her latest achievement of getting the Best Actress award for her role in Kamal Haasan’s Tamil film Dasavathaaram by the Singapore-based International Tamil Film Awards (ITFA). The ITFA, which recognizes the contribution of film personalities and actors towards Tamil cinema on an international scale, will present the award to the actress at a ceremony on May 16 in Singapore.

At the occasional gathering of Vijay’s Welfare Association held in Mumbai Ray Road, Vijay’s father S.A. Chandrashekar donated 2 computers and 10 sewing machines to the underprivileged students. Vijay’s mother Shiba Chandrasekar was present too. The proud father expressed how after MGR, only Vijay’s fans are spread all throughout the nation. But his father’s one statement shocked everyone out there. He said that his son would never enter politics neither would support any political party. The set-side report is that while the exacting and strict director wants Ash to go bare faced, the beauty queen seems to be having a tough time sticking to instructions. She manages to sneak on to the set with minimal make-up. But the eagle-eyes Ratnam is quick to spot that her face has been done up. Here’s news that been around for sometime. Shruthi Haasan, who has just launched a music album, is also likely to compose music for her dad’s next, ‘Thalaivan Irukkinran’.

Shruthi Haasan’s talents from poetry, to modeling to singing are well known. It was only recently that she lent her voice for Goutham Menon’s ‘Varanam Aayiram’ for the song “Adiye Kolludhey”. She is also making her debut opposite Imran Khan in the Bollywood film Luck.

Now, it is said that ‘Thalaivan Irukkinran’, which is a remake of A Wednesday, will have its musical score by Shruthi Haasan. 

Mohanlal and Kamal Haasan team up for the first time for this film, which will be directed by a debutant NRI. The film is being produced by Raj Kamal International and the rest of the crew is yet to be announced. The film is a bilingual, made in Tamil and Telugu, with Venkatesh replacing Mohanlal for the Telugu version. The movie is called ‘Eenadu’ in Telugu.

Asin, who is currently filming Vipul Shah’s musical bonanza ’London Dreams’ alongside stars like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan, admits to finding a few differences between Bollywood and Kollywood. First and foremost, the rising star believes that the South Indian industry displays a remarkable sense of punctuality.

The Anushka, who reports said was not interested in doing a Tamil film after ‘Rendu’, says she has pinned her hopes on Tamil cinema now and will concentrate on her career here. “My ‘Arundhathee’ might be a blockbuster but I’m not inspired to do the same genre of films over and again. Also, I’m focusing on building my career in Tamil now,” says the actress who has landed herself three roles with big heroes in Tamil. The biggest of them all will be ‘Vettaikkaran’ in which she is paired with Vijay.
