Much has been speculated about the causes of rift. One theory says Nischal and his authoritative mom gave little freedom to Kavya and pestered her to join the films again because of financial troubles in their house. Another theory says Nischal’s suspicious nature was the cause of friction between the couple. For the last two days Thanu’s office was a beehive of activity as the trade people descended to see the new trailers and all the songs of the film at his home theatre.

The songs and trailer were slick and attractive and looked awesome. Imagine the clarity and colour on the big screen, was the statement made by many in the trade. Thanu says that trade is gung-ho about the film, which is expected to take a gargantuan opening.

While Speaking , Thanu said: “ Please inform the world that Kanthaswamy will hit the screens on August 15, for the big Independence day weekend in over 900 screens in its Tamil and Telugu versions.”

"Glamour is not a criterion for success in films. If a girl has a beautiful face, she can become a heroine and if she has a perfect physique, it would be an additional qualification. When you prove that you can perform well on screen, it would cover all other aspects," she was quoted as saying.

Talking about today's showing more interest in skin show and craving for size zero, Meera said, "Of course, a heroine who wants to remain in the acting profession for some time should show some interest in her physique and should do regular exercises. Though I don’t crave for massages, I too take some precautions for a charming face and use natural spices like turmeric, etc."

Following the lines of Trisha, Asin and Genelia, it is said that Nayantara had been secretively eyeing a career in Bollywood, though she never openly disclosed it. And now, with her boy friend Prabhudeva making waves there, she is said to be a Bollywood heroine soon.

The actress, remarkably, has signed no Tamil film now, apart from ‘Aadhavan’ with Suriya, which is already underway. She is doing a couple of Telugu and Malayalam projects, but it is said that she hasn’t taken up more offers to keep herself available for a Bollywood project, which may be confirmed anytime soon.

“We were shooting for Paiyya and there was a scene in which I had to go and start the car, and he forgot to give me the key. I repeatedly asked him for it though it wasn’t in the dialogue sheet given to me. It became a joke of sorts on screen—the way I had demanded the key from him—and it was decided to retain it in the film,” she laughs.

Kamal Hassan, Gowthami and Shruti's close friends were seen at the theatre. Director of the film Soham Shah was also present at the screening. Shruti is making quite an unconventional debut, which will see her doing tough action scenes with veterans like Sanjay Dutt and Mithun Chakravarthy.

After the show, everyone congratulated Shruti for an outstanding performance and the buzz is that the film is racy and packaged smartly to appeal to young audiences.

It is a 10 day shoot during which some village scenes and a Kuthu song will be picturised on the lead pair Vijay and Anushka.

Vijay Antony has composed this number which is said to be rocking.

Meanwhile huge crowds from Kerala and Coimbatore areas are coming to the location to see Vijay. There have been rumours making the rounds that Vijay will form a political party, which has created a new buzz around the star.

According to sources, this film is said to be a socio-fantasy-cum-graphical extravaganza like Arundhathi and will be produced by M.S. Raju of Sumanth Art Productions, who had earlier teamed up with Kodi Ramakrishna for Satruvu, Devi and Devi Putrudu.

It is heard that producer M.S. Raju is planning to introduce his son Sumanth Ashwin as hero in this untitled film, which will start rolling in August. More details are awaited.

Meanwhile, Nayantara is currently busy with four films: Dileep starrer Bodyguard (Malayalam), Jr. NTR starrer Adurs, Ravi Teja starrer Anjaneyulu (Telugu) and Suriya starrer Aadhavan (Tamil).

According to latest update, the actor is booked till end of 2010, and is finding it very difficult to decline new offers coming his way.

He is also a part of a Telugu flick titled Police Police, which has been completed and is ready for release. Prithviraj has reportedly signed two more Telugu films, and is eagerly looking forward to start working on the same.

Everyone wants a talented actor like Prithviraj in their film and we wish Prithviraj the very best of luck for all his forthcoming venture.

“It is true that we are doing the film, the shoot for which will begin in February next year. Suriya will play the lead in all the versions,” he said, adding that the rest of the cast for the flick is still being finalized.

Suriya will begin work on this film after his current flick ‘Aadhavan’, and his 25th film ‘Singam’. Harris Jayaraj, who has come up with chartbuster tunes for Suirya, from ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ to ‘Varanam Aayiram’ and ‘Ayan’, will be the music composer.

“It is a complete action flick but we are still in the process of finalizing the script,” revealed Murugadoss.

Raavan has Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai apart from Priyamani, Prithviraj and Vikram in important roles. This schedule would last for 45 days approximately, and the ace director also has plans to use a helicopter to reach certain remote and inaccesible areas.

The shooting for Raavan is expected to be complete in the next few months and let us hope that the film is a success!

The star, however, doesn't seem to trust Indian doctors enough to get it done here. "I went to the US to get this surgery done. I agreed to do it only after I was convinced this wouldn't affect my voice in any way," says the actress who has also turned music composer with dad Kamal Haasan's ‘Unnaipol Oruvan’.

Gautami, who was launched in his film ‘Guru Sishyan’, or Nayantara, who struck gold in her second film as his heroine, have reached dizzying heights largely due to their popularity as Rajini’s heroine.

And Namitha does not want to be let out in the race. “He is a phenomenal actor and it is nothing short of a blessing to work with him. If I act with him, I know I have achieved the pinnacle in my career,” she explains.

They have warned Nayantara to stay away from Prabhu since he is already married. But Nayantara is said to be so deeply involved in the relationship that she is paying no attention towards her parents warning.
