Says Ananya, "It was my constant decision to leave my marriage to my parents' choice. When Anjaneyan and his family members approached elders in my family with the wedding proposal, my parents found him as the right man."

The engagement ceremony of Ananya and Anjaneyan is being organized at the actress's house at Perumbavur near Ernakulam. Wedding date is expected to be fixed during the betrothal function, which will be attended by close relatives and friends.

"I don't know whether I will continue acting or not after wedding. Anjaneyan has to decide on that," says Ananya, who is currently acting in a film titled 'Iravum Pagalum'. "I am happy about my parents' choice," she concludes.

According to Boopathi, the legendary actress' son, "The surgery is over successfully and doctors said the blood pressure and sugar levels of Amma are well under control. She is under observation and we hope that she will be discharged soon."

A popular actress known for her character and comedy roles, Manorama, fondly called as Aachi by everyone in the industry, slipped and fell down at the washroom of her house recently, resulting in an injury on her head. She was immediately rushed to hospital, where doctors hadd to perform a surgery.

Successful in the industry for nearly five decades, Manorama shared a great rapport with three top politicians of Tamil Nadu- M G Ramachandran, M Karunanidhi and J Jayalalithaa. She is also close with Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

Talking to journalists, a furious Nikitha said, "The KFPA need not ban me. Let it give me proof about an affair with Darshan." I will voluntarily walk out of the Kannada film industry. The actress said the decision has spoiled her image.
"I think this has been the most hurting decision. What mistake have I committed to undergo such harsh punishments?" she said and added: "I just returned from Mumbai only this morning after completing a modeling assignment. I was shocked."
Leading Kannada actor Darshan was arrested by the Police in the early hours of Friday for allegedly beating up his wife Vijayalakshmi and threatening her with a revolver. Vijayalakshmi had named Nikitha in her police complaint against her husband, which she later withdrew in front of the metropolitan magistrate.

"I had prayed even before my daughter was born that I would conduct her Choroonu in Guruvayoor temple," the actress said. Meena also did “thulabharam” with kadalipazham for Nainika. Close relatives from both sides also attended the functions at Guruvayur.

Speaking to the media for the first time, Meena’s husband Vidyasagar rubbished their divorce rumours, stating that all is going on well in his family. He said that it was some of his close relatives who circulated this baseless rumour.

Following their inability to pay up the loans, the bank has decided to auction the said properties to realize the amount due to it.

It may be mentioned here that the Indian Overseas Bank also initiated action against Nirosha and Ramki for not paying the loan dues.

She had fallen in love with Ravi Rana, an independent MLA in Maharashtra assembly.Ravi Rana is an MLA from Badnera in Amravati district of the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. 

They were both disciples of yoga guru Baba Ramdev, and met at his ashram in Amravathi.

Rana and Navneet would tie the knot at Amravati's Science Core grounds with 2,834 other couples on February 2.

The event is expected to create a world record for the biggest mass wedding.

Meena and her husband Vidyasagar arranged the naming ceremony at the actress’s residence in Chennai on January 28 and it was attended by family and friends. Earlier, Meena's mother told that they chose a name for the baby based on her star and the time of her birth.

"I am not the woman in the video. What has happened in the last few months has been fabricated," Ranjitha said at a press meet in Bangalore in her first public appearance after the sex scandal broke out in March.

Ranjita also lodged a police complaint on Thursday against Lenin Karuppan, former driver of Nityananda, who reportedly captured the said video showing the swami in the sex act and then released the video clippings. In her complaint, she accused Lenin of maligning her image.

Ranjitha said she had no knowledge about alleged sexual exploitation by the swami. "I do not know anything about this. I came to know it only from media reports." She, however, asserted that she has been a devotee of Nityananda for over a year now as she was interested in social work and spirituality.

The actress claimed that media had hounded and maligned her just because she was a public personality. She denied she had absconded after the video was first telecast by some Tamil TV channels.

"I was scared. I was threatened. Hence I left for the United States on March 3 and returned on June 14. I am an ordinary woman with my own fears. I did not know what will happen to me or to my parents. So I went away. I was not absconding," she said, adding that though the video episode had harmed her career, she is still getting offers.

Tamil actress Yuvarani has denied the allegations about her involvement in a sex scandal video tape withNithyananda. Earlier, Yuvarani’s name was pulled into the Nithyananda’s sex saga claiming that she was involved in a sexual relationship with him. But there were no confirmednews reports or proof on the existence of such a video tape.

According to a popular news website India-Server.com, “The two actresses Ranjitha & Yuvarani used to accompany him to striptease parties in the US. Nithyananda used to don cool denim jeans and T-shirts whenever he was there.”

Yuvarani denies links with Nithyananda

Tamil actress Yuvarani has denied the allegations about her involvement in a sex tape with Swami Nithyananda. She has said that she not involved in any such activities with Nithyananda. Denying all the reports of her links with the godman, the actress said that she knew him as a Swami like others.

Earlier, Yuvarani's name was dragged into the swami sex saga claiming that she was involved in a sexual relationship with Nithyananda. But there were no confirmed reports on the existence of such a tape.

The godman has already been slapped with several charges including rape, cheating, unnatural sex among others. Karnataka police is hunting for the godman, whose sex scandal came to light on March 2 when a sleazy video showing the Swamiji in a compromising position with Tamil actress Ranjitha hit the media.

Vijayashanthi went into hiding after a case was filed against her for making provoking statements. The Medak MP was booked for promoting animosity and hatred among people on Friday.

Tension prevailed at her house when the Banjara Hills police came to arrest her and TRS workers raised slogans against the police.

In her alleged 'hate speech’, Vijayashanti had allegedly said that chop off the hands of those who oppose the formation of the separate state of Telangana.

The actress and her filmmaker husband applied for a divorce at a family court in Chennai on Wednesday. Since the couple filed for divorce with mutual consent, it is expected that the legal proceedings would be completed soon.

There was a buzz a few months ago that the marriage of Selva and Sonia was on rocks. However they ‘proved it false’ by attending the audio release ceremony of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ together. Sonia was one among the celebrities who lit the 'kuthuvilakku' at the event.

Sonia made her first appearance with ‘Kadhal Konden’ a film directed by Selvaraghavan that also had her brother-in-law Dhanush in the lead.

On Wednesday (August 12) morning they approached the family court in Egmore in Chennai and have applied for a “divorce by mutual consent”.

According to sources close to the couple, they had been drifting apart during the last one year. The grapevine has it that singer and actress Andrea who was doing Selvaraghavan’s Aayirathil Oruvan was having an affair with the director. One day during the shoot of the film in Hyderabad, Sonia is reported to have barged into the sets and slapped Andrea!

Close friends tried to intervene and save the marriage, but it was too late as the relationship was going downhill. Selva was not keen that Sonia continues her career as actress and made his displeasure clear when she started doing a television serial. For the last few weeks, they have been living separately.

Sonia was initially reluctant for a divorce, and tried for patch up. However finally she agreed for a “divorce by mutual consent”, as she realized that the marriage was heading nowhere and did not want a “messy separation”.

Selva and Sonia got officially married in style on December 15, 2006 at Rajah Muthiah Chettiyar Hall in Egmore, Chennai in the presence of 'Super Star' Rajinikanth and attended by the who's who of Kollywood. Before getting married they were living together for nearly four years, and it was on Sonia’s insistence that the relationship was legalised.

Selva first met Sonia in early 2002, when he signed her up for his path breaking Kadhal Konden, opposite his brother Dhanush. It was her debut film in Tamil and released on July 4, 2003 and went on to become a sensational super hit. Sonia subsequently went on to become a star and was paired with Vijay, Silambarasan, Ravi Krishna, Srikanth, Jeevan and Arya.

Now, we hear that the actress is all set to test her luck as a producer once again! Rambha's home production Parijay Creations is producing a Malayalam movie, in which she is the heroine. Aravind, Riyaz Khan, Prakashraj, Sampath, Geetha Vijayan, Mumaith Khan and others are playing key roles. According to sources, the shooting of this untitled flick is progressing in Sri Lanka.
