Directed by popular Bollywood filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar (Of Shaitaan fame), the film has Vikram and Jeeva as the lead actors. Lara Dutta has been paired oppostie Jiiva in this film.

Writing on her microblogging page, Lara posted: ‘Off to shoot for Bejoy Nambiar’s David. Being shot in Hindi and Tamil simultaneously! Unique experience of shooting in two languages!’

Jeeva is playing a musician in David, while Vikram a fisherman. Interestingly, the name of both of them is David.

With this, the interim stay on the title has been extended up to the above-mentioned date. It may be recalled that the makers of Kalla Thuppaki are objecting to the title Thuppaki as it is so similar to their title.

Thuppaki is directed by AR Murugadoss and stars Ilayathalapathy Vijay in the lead role. Kalaipuli S Dhanu is producing this venture.

The film is directed by Suraaj and has Anushka Shetty playing the female lead. The film we hear is almost complete except for a few portions to be shot.

The film also stars Nikihtha tHukral, Santhanam (yet again after Siruthai & Saguni), and Sanusha (of Renigunta fame), Milind Soman & Suman as part of the cast.

KE Gnanavel Raja will be producing Alex Pandian under his Studio Green Films and the film's muic is scored by Devi Sri Prasad. This film is dubbed and released in Telugu as 'Bad Boy'.

Karthi is working on 'All In All Azhagu Raja' with director Rajesh alongside his Naan Mhan Alla heroine Kajal Aggarwal and 'Biriyani' with Venkat Prabhu alongside Richa Gangopadhyay.

The film produced by Group Company, who have earlier worked with Dhanush in 'Aadukalam' and 'Polladhavan' is yet to finalize on the lead lady or the other cast and crew.

'Sottavalakutty' will be shot in interesting locales at Hosur, Dindugal and Nagerkoil.

The coming together of Sargunam whose Vaagai Sooda Va won a National Award last year and National Award winning Dhanush is sure to be a treat for film patrons.

It will mark the debut of Girish, ace producer Kumar Taurani's son. The yet to be titled venture will go on floors next month. Although it's a romantic entertainer, it will be packed with all commercial elements, knowing the director's filmmaking style.

Prabhu also reportedly stated that it will mostly target stand alone theatres, with attractive elements for multiplex crowd as well.
Shruti's earlier Bollywood ventures, 'Luck' and 'Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji' didn't really establish the actress in there. Let's just hope Lady Luck smiles at this young talent this time around.

Hansika clarifies: “ I am getting an offer every day and it’s not possible for me to do all the films. Currently I am shooting for three films in Tamil- Vettai Mannan, Vaalu and Settai. In August, I will be joining Hari’s Singham-2 opposite Suriya. In Telugu, I am doing a film with Vishnu Manchu. So where is the time or me to take up another film this year?”

Hansika’s career is zooming and at such a young age she is known for her impeccable professional conduct and hard work. 

Regarding the report she says: “ I am talking to Jaya Pradaji and she is launching her nephew with this film which is a remake of a  hit Telugu film. I have to first watch the original, and then work out my dates. I never wanted to do riff raff work just for the heck of being seen and heard. My priorities lie with the current projects.  As of now my platter is full (smiles).”

The producer was even willing to pay her 1 crore for this script and the project titled Koperundevi had impressed Trisha that she had decided to give it a nod. But later when she had quizzed Shankar who is playing the lead, she is said to have backed out saying she is not interested in doing heroine-oriented subjects at the moment.

The reason being Shankar, the producer himself is playing the lead, as well as produce and direct the film.

We hear that Trisha was keeping silence for sometime and then had replied saying “Sorry, her date diary is full for the next year.”

Trisha’s mother told media that she receives a minimum of three to four phone calls per day asking for Trisha’s dates for Women-oriented subjects.

She told, “I don’t know if the person you are talking about is one of them. But as of now, Trisha is not keen on accepting heroine-centric roles, leave alone other factors.”

However both the actress and the director were quick to deny on this front."It's definitely not true! No one even approached me for Yohan and my platter is already full", says Shruti. "We haven't approached Shruti Haasan and for the matter we have not even thought about any heroine for this project yet", says Gautham.

'Yohan Adhyayam Ondru' will be a first of its kind action thriller with few prequels and sequels and will be canned in international locales, especially Britain. Few Hollywood stars are touted to be part of this project that has music by AR Rahman.The film will go on floors once Gautham wraps work on 'Neethanae En Ponvasantham' and Vijay completes 'Thupaki'.

Over 1000 aspiring actors and actresses took part in the audition that took place at AVM Studio in Chennai. Short listed candidates will be roped in to play key roles in the movie.

The cast and crew of 'Singam' are coming together for 'Singam 2' and the list includes Suriya, Anushka Shetty, Devi Sri Prasad and Hari. The value additions in the sequel are Hansika Motwani and Santhanam.

Shooting for the movie will kick start once Suriya completes 'Maatraan' directed by K V Anand. Once it begins, Hari, needless to say, will finish it as fast as the screenplays of his movies are. 

The film which was long pending to take off, that shifted hands from Ajith, Kamal to finally Surya, is a period flick set ion 30's. The film we hear would showcase Surya in his 40's look. (reminds you of Vaaranam Aayiram Surya). Surya will play a romantic detective in the film.

Industry insiders reveal that Pranitha who is very much excited in grabbing this offer, had to turn down a Sundar C's film since she had to give away bulk call sheets for this Gautham movie.

The film is expected to go on floors for shoot by early 2013, as both Gautham and Surya are busy with their respective projects. Both Gautham Menon and Surya are hoping to create the magic that their earlier film their Varanam Ayiram had done.

The track was shot in and around Mumbai and was choreographed by Shobi. It will be set on top of a train that has 13 boggies. The set of the train and the tracks was designed by Art Director Sunil Babu.

It's said that Vijay who is known for his dance moves has given a never seen before sort of performance in this song, which has been captured at its best by ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan.

Directed by AR Murugadoss, 'Thupaki' sees Vijay as an encounter specialist with Kajal Aggarwal as his lady love. Music is by Harris Jayaraj. Comic relief is by Sathyan.

The actress, who is looking forward for more interesting roles in Bollywood, has expressed her wish to work with young actors.

"I want to work with younger actors. Probably working with actors of my generation would be more fun," said the 'Pokkiri' and 'Majaa' heroine in an interview.

For the second time, she will be romancing Akshay in 'Khiladi 786', an action comedy. And she will be seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Bol Bachchan' alongside Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and Prachi Desai.

Also, the talk is that Asin will be the heroine of a forthcoming film based on Chetan Bhagat's book '2 States: The Story of My Marriage', said to be jointly produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala.

Billa 2 trailer has created a big buzz among Ajith fans and there is unanimous opinion that it is one of the best cut trailers in recent times. Already, in less than 24 hours it has crossed 1.5 views on you tube, which is fantastic by any yardstick.

Billa 2 being marketed in Tamil Nadu by Aascar Films is scheduled to release on July 13. The theatrical trailer of the film will be shown in all theatres in TN with Qube from Wednesday.
