In the opening weekend, Thuppakki had earned Rs. 1.18 crores at the UK Box Office. The Tamil film has collected Rs 50 lacs in the second weekend on 11 screens. The total collection of the film in the UK and Ireland region is Rs 1.68 crore. The per screen average collection stands at Rs 2.11 lacs.

When it comes to the UK Box Office, Thuppakki has made Rs. 2.51 crores in 13 days. In the opening weekend, the film had collected Rs 1.76 crore and in the second weekend, the film managed to add Rs 75 lacs to its total. However, the Telugu version of the film has got decent response, as it has earned Rs. 14.49 lacs.

In the Australian Box Office, Thuppakki, which had earned Rs 37.99 lacs, has raked in Rs 8.74 lacs in the second weekend on five screens. Meanwhile, the movie starring Vijay and Kajal Aggarwal has the crossed 100-crore mark at the Tamil Box Office. It is the second Kollywood film to reach the feat after superstar Rajinikanth’s Endhir

Confirming the reports Venkat Prabhu tweeted “so we can expect BIRIYANI 1st Look at KLIMF  15th Dec BUKIT JALIL STADIUM” may be.” Hansika, Premgi Amaren, Prasanna et al are playing lead roles in this Biriyani along with Karthi.

Interestingly, Biriyani also records the 100th movie for Yuvan, who has composed for almost 900 tracks so far. The music composer Yuvan is gearing up for performing live for the first time in Malaysia on 15th December, at the Bukit Jalil Stadium, Kuala Lumpur. The curtain raiser for this Yuvan’s concert is happening today [Nov 28] at Sathyam Cinemas.

Udhyanidhi Stalin who made his debut with Oru Kal Oru Kannadi is working on his next with director Prabhakaran who made his directorial debut with Sundarapandian.

The film is said to be a comedy laugh riot with Santhanam teaming with Udhayanidhi once again.

Udhayanidhi Stalin had tweeted, "Nayanthara is playing the female lead role in my next film directed by SR Prabhakaran sir! Nd DOP is Balasubramaniem sir:)"

The film will commence its shoot January 2013 and the music score to be taken care by Harris Jayaraj as Udhayanidhi feels him to be his lucky mascot.

Interestingly it was Nayanthara who was supposed to do OKOK with Udhayanidhi, as she had worked with Director Rajesh earlier in Boss Engira Baskaran. As she was not signing any new films at that time, she had politely refused and then Hansika Motwani joined in.

Nayan is currently busy working on Ajith-Vishnuvardhan's untitled film, Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum with Rana Daggubati and Raja Rani with Jai.

The buzz is that after Mani broke the traditional Poosinika (Pumpkin) a ritual in Kollywood after completion of the shoot of the film and there was a wrap-up party for all unit members.

Thulasi Mani’s Kadal  heroine who is debuting with the film tweeted – “Wooohoo and that's a wrap people! The best time ever! Kadal  has come to end. I've never been so happy and sad! This was life changing!!”

Sources close to the unit say the entire shoot of the film is over except for a song which is being planned in Mani’s favourite location – Alapuzha in the backwaters of Kerala.

Meanwhile AR Rahman’s Nenjukulle from Kadal sung by Shakthisree Gopalan which was premiered on MTV unplugged has become a runaway chartbuster.
