His wife Aishwarya gave birth to a baby boy at a private hospital in Chennai today (June 21) at 6.21 in the morning.

“I never thought fatherhood the second time would be so special”, Dhanush’s voice brimmed over with paternal pride.

“Right now we haven’t thought of any particular name. We’re just so happy to see him healthy and happy. Both mom and the baby are fine. Aishwarya will be home in a day or two.”

This is the couple’s second son. Their first son, Yatra is three years old and has started going to kindergarten. Dhanush who was shooting in Chennai was by Aishwarya’s side during the delivery.

The premiere of the Hindi Raavan in London on Wednesday night was a glitzy affair, with the entire crew attending it along with celebrity guests like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.

Meanwhile Madras Talkies the producers of the film who refused to have a press screening of the film so far, held back to back shows at a preview theatre for select VIP’s and Kollywood people.

Today (June 17) evening they are holding a charity show of the film in Chennai.

The Superstar’s ‘Endhiran’s music launch is expected to happen in Malaysia (and not Dubai as a source conveyed, looks like the final venue will be known only on the day of the event) if a few sources are to be believed. And for any of Shankar’s movies, his audio launches are simple yet have that splendour but this time will be even better as the music is composed by A R Rahman. Not just that, the movie is branded as India’s costliest movie ever, so producers Sun Pictures would want to unleash the audio in the most magnificent way.

It is said that the actor is going to be acting in a Bilingual soon.  The movie titled Puttham Pudhu Kaalai will be simultatneously made in both Tamil and Telugu. The movie will be directed by Jeyandran and will have two heroines Priya Anand and Nithya Menon. The movie is set to start rolling in July.

Earlier it was said Sameera Reddy will play the female lead but now we hear that Samantha, who played Trisha's role in the Telugu version of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa will be signed up. More details awaited.

It has been reported that some members of the Nadigar Sangam visited the Uttama Puthiran shooting spot where scenes involving Genelia were being shot and demanded that she register as a member to continue acting in Tamil films. The actress is reported to have acceded to this demand. It needs to be seen what the other leading ladies will do.

This is a clear indication that Genelia did not participate in the IIFA and is not facing the wrath of the Tamil film industry people. Velayudham will be directed by Jayam Raja and produced by Aascar Ravichandran.
