Nayantara and Suriya head to Iceland

The two stars from South are off to Iceland to shoot a song for their film ‘Adhavan’. After shooting songs at exotic locations in Kodaikanal and Darjeeling, the cast and crew of the Tamil film are headed to Iceland to can another song titled ‘Eno Eno Panithuli’. The film’s leading stars are Surya and Nayantara . Written by Thamarai, the song will be choreographed by Dinesh and shot over a period of ten days. It will reportedly be the first Tamil song to be shot in Iceland which has been the location for popular James Bond movies like ‘Die Another Day’ and ‘A View To A Kill’.
The music in the film is given by Harris Jayraj while lyrics are by Valee, Kabilan, Thamarai, Pa Vijay and Muthukumar. ‘Adhavan’ is directed by K.S. Ravikumar and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Red Giant Movies. The film’s supporting cast includes yesteryear heart-throb Saroja Devi, Vadivelu, Murali, ’Fefsi’ Vijayan, Ramesh Khanna, Sayaji Shinde and Rahul Dev .

Kanthaswamy – Vikram breaks records

In a week of its release, Kanthaswamy has successfully managed to break the recent records set in audio sales of movies. According to the latest available trade analysis data, more than a lakh audio CDs have been sold across Tamil Nadu and other parts where the audio has been released. Kanthaswamy has 8 tracks of which 4 songs have been sung by Vikram himself and one, the theme music. This skyrocketing sale is attributed to the movie’s catchy tunes and the fact that Vikram lent his voice to many songs. The songs are also becoming a favorite of FM stations and are being aired in the radio waves of Chennai.

Suriya's mass adoption

Suriya’s Agaram Foundation has been pioneering the cause of education among the deprived children. The actor’s latest initiative is that he had adopted about fifty children living in the various Sri Lakan refugee camps in the state. The foundation has earmarked Rs. 25 lakhs every year for the cause. In addition to this, the foundation has adopted 100 students from various villages to impart job-oriented courses. The Sivakumar Education Trust, which completed its 30th year of existence, celebrated the fete by awarding Rs. 10,000 to 30 students who had scored high marks in the HSC exams. The Trust also handed over Rs. 10,000 to three top scorers of the Little Flower School.

Nayanthara Marriage with Prabhu Deva?

Even one is in shock over the news that broke out first in Tollywood and has spread to the Kollywood media that Prabudeva and Nayantara have eloped and gotten married. This piece of rumour has left media, fans in shock!! The closeness between Nayan and Prabudeva has been making rounds for quite sometime now and the buzz was that Prabudeva after the loss of his son, turned to Nayan for comfort. Currently Prabhu Deva is in a unknown placefor a Hindi project and Nayan is abroad for shooting.
This has evoked more suspicion on this issue with rumours abuzz that Nayan and Prabudeva have tied the knot. Recently its known that Nayantara tatooed Prabu on her arm(P in English and rabu in Tamil) in Hyderabad. Sources close to the actress say that “they may be in love, but marriage is not on the cards in the near future as they are both highly professional people who are concerned about their respective careers.” Both the actors were not reachable on their mobile phones which added fuel to the already burning fire.

Some action sequences on Namitha, Sana and Santhi Chandra will be shot in Madala Ravi’s house while few others on Namitha, Ravi and Sobhan at the Annapurna Studios and Golconda fort,’’ the director explained. If sources are to be believed, Srihari is all set to act with Hot Namitha in this film. Buzz is that he has agreed to do a key role in this film and he will soon start participating in the regular shooting.

Tollywood’s much-in-demand hot babe Priyamani has denied rumours that Maxim (the UK-based international men’s magazine known for its revealing pictorials featuring actresses, singers and models) has approached her for a photo session. This is response to rumours that she has agreed to pose for their magazine when Maxim staff approached her. "Yes, I’ve heard the news, but the magazine never approached me. I’ve previously been on the cover of many regional magazines and it’s always a pleasure to do exclusive shoots," Priyamani was quoted as saying.


There was another rumour that Priyamani was promised an additional amount of Rs. 20 lakh for her bikini act in Drona. It was also said that the producer refused to pay the amount, since Drona did not do well. "It’s all false. I’ve received the amount that was promised to me. Initially, the producer was hesitant because Drona didn’t fare as expected, but he later settled the dues. I appreciate his professionalism," she added. Priyamani is now excited about her Sandalwood debut with Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar’s Ram, produced by Aditya Babu and directed by Madesh. "We’re shooting at a brisk pace. We are doing three scenes a day and KK sir is very good with the camera. And, of course, Puneet is a fabulous co-star," she said.
