According to reports, it was a dream of Udhayanidhi , who had produced films like Kuruvi and Aadhavan, to make a movie with Kamal and it had come true with the new project.

Ravikumar, who had directed Kamal for blockbusters like Avvai Shanmugi, Thenali, Panchathanthiram and the recent Dasavatharam, will direct the mega-budget venture, reports said. The film is expected to go on floors by January 2010.

It has sent shock waves as AGS Entertainment was considered close to Sun Pictures especially after they made Masilamani, a success. The trade says almost across Tamil Nadu nearly 350 screens will have Vettaikaran, which is being marketed aggressively.

But AGS is almost certain to go ahead and release Kandha Kottai which has Nakul and Poorna in the lead. They feel there is always a market for a second film which actually can piggy ride on the bigger film especially in theatre complexes in the state.

She said,” Nayanthara is acting stereotyped in all her films. I don’t understand why people are carrying her on their head when she has no stuff. When asked Nayanthara regarding this, she said,” Let anybody speak about me.

I am not bothered about it. I can also speak like them. I know who is behind this. This conspiracy cannot do anything to me.”It is learnt that Sana Khan was partying with Trisha the day before she passed comments on Nayanthara.

According to the trade reports, ‘Vettaikaran’ has been sold out for a big price and it has gradually encouraged Sun Pictures to ink a deal with Vijay’s ‘Sura’ as well.
