Talking to the media at the audio launch of 3 in Hyderabad, Shruti Haasan in a  candid conversation spoke about the rumours doing the rounds about her link-up with her hero Dhanush: “He is a very humble person and good friend; and all the rumours about us are false.”

The actress who has sung the hit romantic melody Kannazhaga in the film, in all the three languages is all excited about the author-backed role in the film

“I had to get into the skin of the intense character, which is very special. It was very challenging and made me push my boundaries quite early in my career and I am very happy about that”

The actress also spoke first time about her  break-up with Siddharth and how she deals with meeting him in other events She said: “There was nothing between me and Siddharth; he is a professional actor, like me.”

Following Amala Paul's inability to be part of the project, it is said that a hunt is on by the producers, a top actress will be roped in for the task. "Expect an announcement soon," sources say.

Being produced by Aascar V Ravichandran, 'Boologam', directed by debutant Kalyan, has 'Jayam' Ravi playing a kick-boxer, a role which was already made memorable by him in 'M Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi'.

Shooting for 'Boologam' is expected to start soon. An action adventure, the script is said to be having an interesting love episode too. "Fresher Kalyan is banking heavily on the script," add sources.

The film is said to be based on a Malayalam Novel. The film's cast include Pooja who has worked with Bala in Naan Kadavul, Vedhika and Uma Riyaz Khan.

The film's music is scored by GV Prakash. This is the first time, Bala has working with a new music composer not with his usual team of Ilayaraja. The film's shooting is currently taking place, set in the backdrop of southern Tamil Nadu.

Atharva who was seen wearing a head gear to hide his look for the film in cine events recently, is apparently said to have lost 10 kilos of weight. His look for the film is said to be one of the key highlights.

Post the not so successful film Avan Ivan, Bala is working on this film carefully we hear. Atharva too is not happy with the response of his recently released Mupoozhuthum Un Karapaniagal. He is now looking forward to an image make over role through Bala, who has given Tamil Cinema some remarkable performances through the roles enacted by Vikram, Surya, Arya and even Vishal recently.

Ace writer Jeyamohan, who has earlier worked with Bala in Naan Kadavul, is said to be helping the director in this film too.

"Down with a really bad viral attack so completely homebound for a week," wrote the 'Manmadhan Ambu' and 'Mankatha' actress on her microblogging page. But the break has made her happy. "Feels good 2 b back home on my bed with my doggies," she added.

Trisha also promised that she will resume shoot in a week to complete her Telugu project 'Dammu', which has top star NTR Junior in the lead role. It was while shooting for the film the actress suddenly became unwell.

In Kollywood, Trisha is part of two projects- 'Samaran' with Vishal and a yet-to-be-titled project which has Jiiva in the lead role. A week back, her mother Uma Krishnan said that she would sign more projects shortly.

"It has been a long time practice for Rajini to formally start his shootings at the famous Pillayar Temple located inside the AVM Studios. So a customary shot was canned last week in front of the temple," say sources.

Not many were informed about it, sources say, adding select members of the crew, along with Rajini, Soundarya R Ashwin and K S Ravikumar were present. It was a formal shot which had Rajini breaking a coconut for Lord Ganesha after offering prayers.

Earlier last week, Ravikumar was on a spiritual trip to Lord Muruga Temple in Tiruttani and Lord Balaji Shrine in Tirumala, to seek the blessings of the Almighty for the success of the project.

She has come back with a bang and we all believe that Nayan was only made for the movies.

She will be facing the camera after a small hiatus and what best way to start afresh than praying at the most famous temple in India?

The actress drove down from Chennai to Tirupati, on Wednesday early morning, and had a darshan at around 10.30 am.

The temple authorities were intimated and they were waiting for her outside. She was taken inside and being the middle of the week there wasn’t much crowd.
A source close to her said that she did few special poojas, had a peaceful darshan and drove back to Chennai in the evening.

“My son has done an anti hero role in Selva’s Naanga. I didn’t want to talk about it earlier and wanted to introduce him until after the film’s release and only after I received some appreciation for his performance,” said the proud father Mano.

Shakir for his part revealed that he always wanted to act and though he could sing, he preferred being before the camera.

The young man is open to doing all kinds of roles. Asked about his meeting with Rajni he said, “He was very appreciative of my effort and encouraged me as he knows my father very well.”

The actor also met Kamal to receive his blessings, in accordance to his father’s wishes to get the blessings of both Rajni and Kamal for his venture into films.

Asked about how the role came about, Shakir said that he wanted to be a hero in the film but Selva did a test shoot and said that action would suit him better. The young man is in talks with a Telugu director next for a possible hero role.
