Sura and Thillalangadi may not have got the cash registers ringing, but she managed to lend her own brand of dignity to the characters she portrayed on screen.
Tamanna is currently busy doing two films in Telugu and has just one film with Dhanush in Tamil to be directed by Hari.
She was touted to be the leading lady in Lingusamy directed Vettai but when reports last came in, Tamanna, after hearing script narration is yet to sign on the dotted line.
Sources close to the unit say that Tamanna was bowled over by the script but asked for a whopping salary, which the producers feel, is not viable.
Moreover, it was Lingusamy who gave her that super hit Paiyya early this year and the director was peeved when she demanded this salary.
So, Cloud Nine the producers of the film are looking out for an alternative.
